Working PrincipleScreening & Equalization – Raw sewage passes through a bar screen to remove debris and enters an equalization tank to balance flow and load variations.
Biological Treatment with Carrier Media – Aeration tanks contain moving carrier media providing large surface area for biofilm growth. Microorganisms on the media degrade organic matter (BOD/COD).
Secondary Clarification – Suspended solids are separated in a clarifier. The clarified water is then disinfected.
Disinfection (Optional) – UV or chlorination ensures pathogen-free water suitable for reuse.
Sludge Handling – Excess sludge is collected and treated separately for safe disposal or reuse.

Latest Pollution control norms demands each STP to remove ammonia and phosphates from sewage. Working PrincipleThe MBR process combines two core treatment stages:
